Mom's mad at the Pope now...

Well, Mom's drifting in and out of the anger stage of grief; current focus here is the Pope, about Dad's age, who went and got better...and Dad was such a good Lutheran, and of course the Pope isn't...so why did God pick the POPE to get better and not Dad?

It's funny because Mom's generally such a logical person. And is sharper at 78 than most people in their 30s.

I ran into a friend halfway across campus today. I hadn't seen Ozzie for a couple of weeks, and when she asked "How's your dad?" and I just lost it. And had to walk all the back across campus with raccoon eyes and a splotchy face. At least it was cold so most people took the inside routes. Funny how something will just blindside you sometimes.
